A great week of Experiementation and Exploration was had by all the children in Kilnagross National School to celebrate Science Week. The chidren enjoyed working in groups to plan prepare and carry out a variety of experiments. The children in the senior room explored Physics and Engineering tasks, working in groups to design marble runs, funtional bridges, and designing parachutes. The photos show just how much fun they all had.
The children in the Junior Room completed experiments involving chemical reactions to create explosive volcanoes, break up fat/grease and inflate balloons. The also explored density in liquids. They added some themed artwork too, drawing themselves as scientists.
Well done teachers and pupils on a very engaging week in Science.
