The Green Schools Committee of Kilnagross NS have organised a clothes collection. All-Tex Recyclers will collect our bags filled with clothing, bedclothes and textiles for recycling on Monday the 23rd of October 2023.

You may leave your bags in the GP room from the previous Wednesday if you wish, the 18th of October, from 2:10pm onwards.
If you are leaving the bags on Monday, please leave them in the morning as we don’t know how early they will come to collect them.
By re-using and recycling unwanted clothes, shoes and household textiles, we are helping reduce the amount of material going to landfill, thus contributing significantly to Ireland’s challenging recycling targets.
We will also receive 50 cent per kilo from All-Tex recyclers which we will add to school funds to help pay for trips on buses, bring in external teachers, pay for improvements to the grounds, educational equipment etc.
Thousands of tonnes of clothing, shoes and household textiles are discarded by the Irish public every year. These items can be re-used and recycled in the developing nations of Africa, Asia and Eastern Europe. For more information on All-Tex Recyclers, please visit www.alltexrecyclers.com.
