The whole school came together to celebrate World Book Day on Thursday 7th March. Children and staff dressed up as their favourite characters from the world of books and the school held a “Book Swap Day”, where children and their families had the opportunity to donate pre-loved books and bring home some new books to read. Thank you to everyone who donated and participated in the book swap.
The children from the Middle and Senior Rooms also paired up with our younger pupils and read them stories from the range of books in our school library. This “Buddy Reading” continued during Seachtain na Gaeilge also (March 11th-15th), where children were encouraged to use their native language more often during the day.
