Senior Room visit residents of St. Patrick’s Hospital

Back in May, the children were once again given the opportunity to visit the residents of St. Patrick’s Hospital in Carrick-On-Shannon, in conjunction with the Healthy Age Friendly Homes Programme. This time, along with performing songs and dancing, the children were paired up and able to interview some of the residents. This gave the children the chance to see what the residents favourite foods were when they were growing up, what their favourite pastimes were, what music they listened to or what books they read, what their school days were like, among many other questions. This was a great insight into the memories of our older community and we value their time and patience in answering our questions.
