We were blessed with the sun this year for Bike Week and enjoyed many different activities to celebrate cycling and practise bike safety.
Seamus from Electric Bike Trails visited us for a workshop on cycling safely and everyone enjoyed the laps around the school in the sunshine.
Rebecca from Trailblazers kindly provided a workshop on how to correctly wear and adjust your helmet, which is vital when it comes to cycling safely.
Children and parents cycled to school, some every day, and we would like to thank Mary Guckian for letting us use her yard as a meeting point. Thank you to all parents who supported the school during bike week, in getting the children safely to school and in encouraging cycling more often.
We finished Bike Week by holding a cycle parade around the school, where children got to show off their specially decorated helmets that they worked hard on throughout the week. Thank you to everyone for showing such an interest in the decorated helmet competition. We appreciate the time and effort that went into these. Well done to our 8 winners Senan, Lily-Rose Gill, Mia, John MacDaid, Eoghan, James, Denver and Chloe who each won a new helmet.
