On Monday 16th June and Tuesday 17th June, excitement was building ahead of the long anticipated school tours. Monday saw children from 2nd-6th class board the bus bright and early to Emerald Park. There they enjoyed rollercoasters, a guided tour of the animals that reside in Emerald Park and a sit-down meal before returning to the attractions of Emerald Park.
Tuesday 17th June was the turn for children from Junior Infants to 1st class, when they hopped on the bus for Mollie Moos in Mullingar. There they had a chance to see all the animals up close, feed some of the animals, enjoy the playground and a picnic in the glorious weather.
Both school tours coincided with lovely weather, bright skies and dry days. Thank you all the staff for being available to go on these tours, to the Parents Association for paying for food for the senior tour and to the Board of Management for covering the costs of the buses. These contributions give us more opportunities to bring the children further afield for their school tours.
