We certainly had an extremely busy week in the lead up to the Christmas holidays. From our Christmas Carol Service to our Christmas disco, from a pizza party to Christmas jumpers, from Christmas movies to hot chocolates, everyone was ready for the festive period!
The children from Mr. Earley’s class were recently announced as winners for their slogan entry in the Leitrim Enterprise competition, “If Your Business Wants To Grow With Leitrim Enterprise, It Will Flow”. ****Winning entry here****
Their prize was a party of their choice. Naturally, they selected a pizza party, so were delighted to be able to enjoy pizzas and chips from SuperMacs. Many thanks to Leitrim Enterprise for facilitating the workshop, competition and fantastic prize and well done to the children from 4th, 5th and 6th class!

Christmas Carol Service
The families of the children in the school were in for a real treat on Wednesday 17th December, when the children performed their Christmas Carol Service for the first time in Gowel Church. This was a very special evening of Christmas Carols and community spirit. This was followed by the annual Christmas raffle and refreshments in Kiltoghert Community Centre, kindly organised by the Parents Association. A huge thank you to all families and community members who joined us on the night, to the children for performing so well, and of course to the Parents Association for their support as always with their huge effort put into the raffle and refreshments. There was enough food to feed an army!
Christmas Disco and Hot Chocolates!
The whole school enjoyed a Christmas disco on the Thursday before the Christmas holidays, followed by hot chocolates and movies on the Friday before finishing at 12:30pm. We also said goodbye to Mr. Earley who is off on his travels, not before giving him a huge amount of cards and pictures!
